Alvescot stud is a family run stud situated on the edge of the Cotswolds set in 360 acres of organic grassland.
Currently standing the WBS UK grading 2012 Champion stallion Flashpoint at stud, we also have a variety of homebred youngstock of all ages for sale.

Wachiwi 5 yr old bay mare by Wanninger.
I saw her at 4 months and fell in love with her bold spirit and stunning paces. She came at 6 months and despite no previous experience with foals, I and my husband found her very easy to do and very sweet natured and affectionate. She was professionally broken in and then went to Dan Greenwood to pursue a dressage career where she is schooled and competed by Ashley Jenkins under Dan's training regime. She has been quick to learn and loves the work. She has qualified for the Winter prelim regionals and also the summer regionals from just 7 outings in total with her scores improving each time. Her last show in fact saw her gain 77.7% which was thrilling. Having picked her out as a 4 month old and now to see her do well has been tremendously exciting.
We liked the very natural herd environment at Alvescot and we saw Wanninger trot up in hand at the age of 25; the elevation and movement was spectacular. If I was in the market for another youngster I would definitely go back to Alvescot.

I would like to thank all at Alvescot for my Wonderful horse. We picked "Otto" from one of many happy youngsters in a barn and from choosing him through to having him backed by Alvescot and then them delivering him to me due to imminent snow, Duncan and all at Alvescot could not have been more helpful. I have a wonderful horse with an amazing temperament who is always eager to please and I put that down to the amazing way that Duncan and his team have of handling all their youngsters. I have spoken to many people who have Alvescot bred horses and they always talk so highly of them. Thank you once again.

Having been to see many other horses with no success, I stumbled across Alvescot Stud. After looking at lots of different fields of age groups of coloured mares, we bought a 4yr old in to see loose jumping. The team were fantastic and we were at the stud for some time looking at all the stallions and even a new born foal. We settled on the 4yr old coloured mare,"Maisie" now 6, who has the biggest character on the stables! She is admired for her looks and ability everywhere we go. I've had offers from people for her! She truly is a wonderful partner who is going to mature into an excellent competition horse, I would recommend an Alvescot horse to anyone and when the time comes for a new horse I know I'll be back for another!

Just want to say that we have had two fantastic foals from your boys Paper Moon and Picasso. I would recommend anybody who was wanting to produce a quality useful type of horse to use Alvescot, not only are the final product a good sort but the people are helpful and accommodating.
